I thought I'd just say hi to everyone. Sorry for not having sent an update recently... there isn't much to update.
We are nearing the end of our Ghana outreach and had a departmental debriefing on Friday afternoon. Was quite interesting...
I have been ill with a head cold for over a week now, so have been taking this weekend just to relax and try and get over it (it out of my system). I am definitely feeling better.
We have a new South African girl in our accounting department and I am currently training her to be the new crew banker.
Helen & I have signed up for a new patient to "adopt". Will see what happens... watch this space (as they say...hehehe)!
I am in search of a flight back home early April and one of the travel agents Mercy Ships uses all the time (ARKE - based in Rotterdam, Holland) has found one within budget... but the first part of the flight still needs to be sorted out on the luggage side. Please pray for that (and that we do not lose the booking - or otherwise get an even better flight option with no baggage worries)!
Yes, I am still enjoying it here on the Anastasis, but am missing family and friends a lot!
At the moment I am planning to go stay in Cape Town when I come back to SA, but have had quite a few requests to come back and visit with people in George before I move... so will just have to make a plan!
Ok, I am gonna be really open here... and ask a question that I want an honest - your opinion - answer to!
The question: When you think of me, what comes to mind?

What do I think of when I think of my sister-in-law....hmmm....the first thing that comes to mind is your beautiful smile Mathilda. You are a naturally positive person with so many gifts! I am so proud of you for the Mercy Ship adventure and I know that you will always look back on this year away fondly. You are a good person, so incredibly trustworthy and loyal...but I'm sticking with my first answer....I think of your smile first! Keep on wearing it! Miss you!
I think of the amazing love you have for people. You are positive and encouraging and I definitely think people benefit from knowing you. You are a strong person who has the heart of Jesus for His people! Whatever you do, in whatever walk of life you choose, you will touch people's hearts by just being you.
When I think of Mathilda Mallinson I immediately think of an amazingly bubbly woman of God, who always thinks of others before herself. I think of someone who I am proud to have known and who I can continue to learn from.
When I think of you, I think of sunshine and laughter... you brighten up everyone's day; you are a joy to be around and have around!!
Matty, Matty, what do I think of you??? The first thing that comes to mind, is your constant smile, then your funny giggle and your amazing ability to care and love people. As Alberta wrote, you are sunshine and laughter. You truly do brighten up people's day just by being you. You also are a great woman of God. Stay close to Jesus.
Thank you everyone for the amazing comments! I am not even exactly sure why I asked the question, it just came into my mind the one day to ask my parents if they're proud of me... and it developed from there! It is great to know that I am thought of in this way! Thanks!
