Isn't this just beautiful? This is a view of Camps Bay area - an area very close to where I live. I enjoy riding around on my scooter and I love coming here!

Hello!!!

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted any blogs for months... been hectic getting to the internet. Well, now I finally have internet at home... still disconnecting me a lot, but will get that sorted out a.s.a.p.

Well, as most of you probably know by now... I have started living in Cape Town since the end of April 07 and started doing temp jobs till the right permanent position came along.

Well, that permanent position finally came along on 14 September (my first officially permanently employed day)!

I now work for Life Healthcare Group... Western Cape Regional Office. For those of you who do not know, this is a group of private hospitals all over the country. I am the regional secretary. My job consists of 20% PA work for the Hospital Manager of the Cape Region, 40% for the Financial Manager and 40% for the Marketing Manager. So, it is nice and diverse. Also, what is nice about it is there is room for growth in the company.

So, we will see what happens from now. I enjoy living in Cape Town and driving all over in my scooter.

Sailing!

We have been sailing for about 3 days! It is glorious. I love sailing! We've been having a very smooth sail. The speed was mostly about 13 knots (that's about 26km/h). Very cool! I wish this would last longer, but it is lots and lots of fun!

Back online!

Hello everyone,

I am back online... we had about a week where we were offline (internet & phones), because their was a fault with our satellite. Yes, it was frustrating... but now it is fine!

We have a 5 working days off next week (our department - others take it when they can) and me and a friend will be going to Busua for a few days (it is about 6 hours drive from here - just the other side of Takoradi - I am in Tema). Not sure which day we will be back... we will take it rather spontaneously and see how we feel and such.

Things are going well here and I am missing everyone! I almost can't believe it is almost the middle of February 2007 already! It is crazy, the time just flies!

I have already put a comment of my own in my previous post, but just want to mention it again:

Thank you very much for the comments I have received (via the blog or emails) on my question earlier! I really appreciated it very much (the words are not enough to express what I feel when I read your comments)! I am blessed to have the friends & family I have!!!

A quick hello!

Hello everyone!

I thought I'd just say hi to everyone. Sorry for not having sent an update recently... there isn't much to update.

We are nearing the end of our Ghana outreach and had a departmental debriefing on Friday afternoon. Was quite interesting...

I have been ill with a head cold for over a week now, so have been taking this weekend just to relax and try and get over it (it out of my system). I am definitely feeling better.

We have a new South African girl in our accounting department and I am currently training her to be the new crew banker.

Helen & I have signed up for a new patient to "adopt". Will see what happens... watch this space (as they say...hehehe)!

I am in search of a flight back home early April and one of the travel agents Mercy Ships uses all the time (ARKE - based in Rotterdam, Holland) has found one within budget... but the first part of the flight still needs to be sorted out on the luggage side. Please pray for that (and that we do not lose the booking - or otherwise get an even better flight option with no baggage worries)!

Yes, I am still enjoying it here on the Anastasis, but am missing family and friends a lot!

At the moment I am planning to go stay in Cape Town when I come back to SA, but have had quite a few requests to come back and visit with people in George before I move... so will just have to make a plan!

Ok, I am gonna be really open here... and ask a question that I want an honest - your opinion - answer to!

The question: When you think of me, what comes to mind?
